NOW CLOSED...

Formerly: After two-and-a-half successful years, Unit B (Gallery) will be closing our Chicago doors on October 30, 2004 at the closing reception of our October exhibition, Jeff Earhart: Works Well with Others. This very difficult decision was made from a desire to relocate to San Antonio, Texas, where Unit B (Gallery) will reopen in May 2005.

In doing so, Unit B (Gallery) will extend its mission to showcasing and supporting emerging contemporary artists and curators from San Antonio, Chicago, and around the globe in group exhibitions. Prior to living and working in Chicago, I resided in San Antonio for four years and look forward to the opportunity to reconnect with friends and colleagues, as an artist, and gallerist, in its thriving contemporary art scene.

Unit B and I would like to thank all of the people who have helped the gallery flourish in the last few years: the artists, the gallery visitors, the amazing volunteer staff, the local press, the Pilsen neighborhood, and the many other venues, publications, and people who have contributed to our ongoing successes. Unit B (Gallery) truly could not have existed without the combined efforts of many individuals, and it is very reluctantly that we bid farewell to them all.

Supporters of Unit B will be able to stay in tune with the new San Antonio incarnation via our website at www.unitbgallery.com. We hope that our friends in Chicago will continue to keep an eye on us, and keep in touch.

I would again like to thank everyone who helped Unit B realize its vision of supporting new and emerging artists from Chicago and around the globe. This is an important mission that we know will continue at the many other exceptional galleries and alternative venues throughout the City of Chicago and beyond.

It's not good-bye, it's see ya later.

Best regards,

Kimberly Aubuchon
