Creepin' It Up in the Club: Halloween Night!

Halloween weekend is full of scary bar and club events.

Here's what's happening on the big night! We've highlighted our picks (Centerstage says YES!) and the best prizes (Big money, no whammies!).

Bird's Nest: Halloween Hootenanny!
7-11 p.m.; $30
This is the perfect perch for more competitive revelers; in addition to all-you-can-drink domestic drafts and select mixed drinks, you can win prizes for best costume, bobbing for apples and, our favorite, scariest laugh. Fran Drescher clones, rejoice!

Centerstage says YES!Kit Kat Lounge and Supper Club Shakin Not Scared: The Resurrection
7 p.m.; no cover
Need a break from the everyday? How does it sound to have Marilyn Monroe as a waitress, WGN broadcaster Dean Richards as a judge (in the costume contest on the 31st) and a chance for a $500 cash prize or $250 in liquor products? If that's your normal day, well, good for you.

Motel Bar: The Motel Bar Halloween Party
4 p.m.-2 a.m.; no cover
Plenty of specials await you at this frightful fest. Try a $4 Brain Hemorrhage shot and enjoy the Star and Garter Burlesque Show at 10 p.m.

Roscoe's Tavern: Roscoe's Halloween Party
9 p.m.; no cover
This is an equal opportunity establishment; the Roscoe's costume contest includes both regular and drag parties. No matter what you choose to wear, everyone likes to drink, and there's plenty to be had, from $3 Miller Lite and MGD bottles to $12 Absolut Mandarin cosmo pitchers.

Sidetrack: Sidetrack's Halloween Party
3 p.m.; no cover
If you're planning on checking out the 10th Annual North Halsted Street Halloween Parade, why not stop in here? You can watch all the craziness on TV and compete for cash prizes in a costume contest at 10 p.m.

SushiSamba Rio: Cosplay Party
9 p.m.-midnight; no cover
Into anime? Show the rest of Chicago by dressing as your favorite character and you could win a prize! DJs and free candy round out the experience.

Crawl with the Creeps: Halloween Pub Crawl
8-11 p.m.; $15
Five bars (McGee's, Durkin's, Duffy's Tavern, Wrightwood Tap and Redmond's) are participating in this crawl, and you can start your night at any one of them. Trolleys depart every 15 minutes with stops at all bars. Admission price includes domestic drafts and a buffet at each bar.

The Copa: Curse at The Copa
8 p.m.-2 a.m.; no cover
DJ T-Spoon provides entertainment while you sip on $2 domestic bottles and $5 specialty martinis. There will also be prizes throughout the night for best costume.

Centerstage says YES! Metro: Nocturna All Hallow's Eve Ball
10 p.m.; $10-$15 (the costume is the difference)
DJ Scary Lady Sarah can go all night, and so can you, as long as you're over 18.

Red Ivy: Red Ivy Halloween Party
during business hours; no cover
Sure, you've been to plenty of friends' "birthday" parties here all year, but how can you pass up these $1 specials? We're talking $1 Sam Adams Octoberfest on Tuesday.

Big money, no whammies! Piece: Halloween Party
9 p.m.-2 a.m.; no cover
Live band karaoke is the attraction here...unless you really love pizza. If you win the costume contest, you get a year's supply of Piece's best pies.

Stone Lotus: Scream
9 p.m.-2 a.m.; $20, or free if you RSVP
DJs Viktor and Lil Mikey will entertain all night, and there will be free Belvedere cocktails from 9-10 p.m.

Carnivale: Halloween at Carnivale
5-10:30 p.m.; prices vary
Get there early, get a free masquerade mask. Even if you get there late, you can still catch Halloween movies and spooky music, plus some seriously eerie food. From October 28-31, you can get stuff like Peanut Butter Cup martinis and Tasmanian salmon with pumpkin pasilla chile sauce and Swiss chard.

TangoChicago: Halloween Party
7:30 p.m.-midnight; $25
Costumes are optional, but wearing one could net you a prize in the contest. Dancing, too.

There's more on:

Friday, October 27
Saturday, October 28
Sunday-Monday, October 29-30
