There's no shortage of restaurants, shops and bakeries on Devon Avenue, but there is a serious lack of neighborhood pubs. Search high and low, and you’ll find only a handful of watering holes scattered along this never-ending stretch. The plus side to this desert of sorts is that the bars that do exist here are cheap and (mostly) friendly. Casey’s Corner is the perfect example. As one of the oldest pubs in the 'hood, it offers a welcome haven from the bustling traffic just outside its green painted doors.
You won't find much in the decor department, aside from a wall of old photos (mostly shots of regulars at the bar), beer paraphernalia, local sports signs and the ubiquitous painting of dogs playing pool. It's got all the elements of classic dive bar intact, including a jukebox stocked with classic rock (and even a few marengue hits).
There's also a pool table, which is often surrounded by regulars who just might make a little extra room, if you ask nicely.
