The Curragh's original location in Schaumburg closed a few years ago. However, its Edison Park incantation, which opened in January 2009, looks comfortingly familiar to fans of the old establishment.
The Curragh pulled everything from its original location and moved it to the new spot – including its bar, which, like many other parts of the restaurant, was made in Ireland. The Curragh's menu, served until 10 p.m. during the week and until 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, is also Eire-themed. Popular menu items include traditional fish and chips, the Dublin burger, topped with ham and bacon, and the thick Guinness cheese soup.
On Saturdays, the bar features live Irish music. However, the Curragh's not opposed to featuring other types of tunes – it plans to start hosting a jazz night on Tuesdays soon.
