The Roscoe Village location of this pan-Asian favorite offers the same stellar sushi-slash-stir fry-filled menu as its Irving Park, Michigan Avenue, and soon-to-be Loop locations.

Hot Woks Cool Sushi aligns itself with the Yin Yang symbol, replacing Yin with Hot Woks, and Yang with Cool Sushi. Get it? Good. Because if you're here, it would be unfortunate to not experience both sides of the circle. Outdoor seating and a liquor license compliment the extensive menu that's filled with hot eats from China, Thailand and Japan, balanced by cool selections from the raw sushi side of the menu.

Begin with an appetizer of gyoza ($4.95), then move on to the salad section with selections like the tuna avocado salad. If you'd prefer to go for a Chinese main course, try an entree like the General Tao Chicken ($8.95), BBQ Pork Chinese Fried Rice ($7.95), Beef Chow Fun ($7.95) or the Hot Woks Fried Rice ($7.75). The sushi side of the menu includes Makimono rolls — salmon avocado, spider roll and tekka maki - and signature rolls. If you're feeling patriotic, try the Obama-Nami Roll ($13.95) because, well, it has Obama in its name.

The cool side of the menu offers a variety of sashimi platters, which are sure to please any raw fish lover. At Hot Woks Cool Sushi, you can heat up, cool down, and then chill out.
