Editorial Review of Kit Kat Lounge and Supper Club

With over 100 different martinis, 25 margaritas and an internationally-inspired menu, the Kit Kat Lounge knows what it takes to make their guests purr. Add the nightly cabaret-style drag queen performances to the mix and you've got a truly unorthodox experience that takes the dinner-and-a-show concept to a whole 'nother level.

Four large plasma screens line the walls and showcase Impressionist paintings to create a soothing primer for the shows to come. All martinis are $10 and range from funky to flamboyant, with classically infused flavors and pop icon references, like the Milli Vanilli and the Peggy Lee. Try the Kitty's Dream for a slumber party-style mix of vodka and creamsicles and the Zsa Zsa Gabor appetizer, of herb-encrusted baked goat cheese, garlic crostinis and marinara sauce. Appetizers cost $7-$11 and entrees are $17-$24.

The highlight of the Kit Kat Lounge is without a doubt the tableside drag renditions, which occur every 20 minutes or so. Bring your singles if you want some close and personal attention from the likes of Tina Turner or Madonna, who are not at all shy about spicing up the normally low-key, Casablanca-style atmosphere with a lap dance or a full-bodied croon.

The clientele ranges from gayborhood locals (check out the Sunday screenings of Desperate Housewives) to lively ladies taking advantage of the Saturday bachelorette nights (which come with $35-$55 per-person party packages, including eats and drinks). Your frugal friends will appreciate half-off martini nights on Tuesdays and Sundays. And watch out for Jack (Sean Hayes) from Will and Grace, who's been known to frequent the Kit Kat when he is in town.
