Since Marigold's two managing partners first met – and began discussing opening a restaurant – at a cocktail party, it's fitting that Marigold offers half a dozen white and red wine varieties (mostly by the bottle and glass) and full-service bar.
However, diverse drinks aren't the only thing the eatery is dishing out: Marigold's inventive Indian fare includes a Chicken Tikka appetizer, consisting of boneless chicken skewers marinated in tandoori spices and grilled, a spicy "mid-course" coconut soup and a number of daily specials and hearty entrees, priced from about $15 to $29, like the lamb shank that's marinated in chilies and vinegar and then slowly simmered in garlic and chilies.
Still hungry? You can top your dinner off with a side order of Marigold’s mint, onion date, roasted fruit or cucumber raita chutney – either an individual serving or, for $4.95, a sampler of any three.
Average cost: $10-$20
