Martini Park touts itself as "a playground for adults." With an array of potent drinks prepared to go down too easily, a selection of finger foods and music from DJs and bands each night, it could live up to its promise.
Martini Park boasts a suave amber and blue interior. Muted yellow light glows from three bars with resin and glass countertops, beacons in the open space drawing patrons over for cocktails. One hugs an elevated stage, while the other two feature towers of Snow Queen Vodka bottles as centerpieces.
The bar menu includes dozens of mixed drinks and, of course, a hefty martini list, at $10-$12 each. Cucumber or strawberry basil martinis make excellent choices for celebrating a girls' night out, as many professionals do here regularly. The slightly older male crowd may go for a Whiskey Peach (Maker's Mark and peach puree) or the New "Old Fashioned" with Grey Goose L'Orange. Couples can sit on cozy gold and red banquettes, indulging in some avocado spring rolls and tasty coconut lime mojitos.
Martini Park's menu takes an upscale approach to American classics. These shareable plates range in price from $5.95 for a basket of homemade potato chips to $16-$17 for the succulent Australian lamb chops or the delectable Smoked Salmon Poppers topped with creme fraîche and tobiko caviar. Meanwhile, the Kobe beef sliders will make you think twice about a trip to White Castle.
