Watching sports, drinking beer and eating pizza — when it comes to one of Chicago's favorite pastimes hobbies no one seems to do it better than Moretti's. Located a couple of blocks away from the United Center, Moretti's serves some of the best Italian food around, while providing sports-minded visitors a place to cheer on their favorite team. Equipped with about 25 TVs, including four HD giant plasma screens, patrons looking for a game to watch will most likely find it at Moretti's. And once the winter months have passed, you can enjoy their outside patio outfitted with a "tiki bar," a beach volleyball court and more.
As for the food, begin the dining experience with an order from their antipasti menu ($4.99-$14.99) that includes coconut shrimp and jumbo mushrooms stuffed with sausage, cheese and spinach and baked with marinara sauce. Moretti's extensive menu also includes soups and salads ($1.99-$9.99), sandwiches and wraps ($5.99-$7.99), burgers ($6.49-$7.99) and of course, pizza. Create your own pizza by selecting from a list of 16 toppings or order from their "favorite pizza" menu which includes the "house favorite" of Italian sausage, green pepper, pepperoni and onion.
And there are also their house specialties that include classic Italian cuisine such as spaghetti and meatballs, Portobello mushroom ravioli and fettuccine diavola. Come in for lunch since prices tend to be $2-$3 cheaper. Wash all the food down with any of their reasonably-priced beers and spirits.
Average cost: $10-$20
