Editorial Review of North Beach

Who can dominate in basketball and still smell sweet enough for a goodnight kiss? Instead of nervously perspiring over a date, let your inner athlete out to play at North Beach, Weed Street's warehouse of activities for adults. Try your hand at sand volleyball, cosmic bowling, basketball and badminton. If you're not into sporting that glistening sheath of sweat, you can still find less taxing favorites: billiards, darts, ping-pong and air hockey. If you’re completely uncoordinated, take a seat at the bar or enjoy the live reggae and rock music that plays on the weekend.

You can go mano a mano here, but a volleyball match between a pair of lovebirds just isn’t the same, and air hockey is more thrilling as an eight-man (or woman) tournament. This is the kind of place to bring a team of cohorts, work up a sweat and cool down with a beer. If you’re not into drinking, it’s perfectly acceptable to bypass the bar area and move from sport to sport until endorphins get you giddy.
