If you think sports and class are two things that couldn't possibly exist together, you haven't stepped into Oliver's Bar & Grill.
The rich color of the mahogany bar pairs with neighboring tables and chairs to create a sleek, swanky feel. The crowd follows suit; couples often stop in for after-dinner drinks or a signature martini (try the Oliver's martini: blue curacao, raspberry vodka, lemonade and orange juice).
This bar isn't specific to the martini-drinking crowd, though. The walls are decorated with jerseys behind glass cases, there are 13 plasma TVs, and the drink specials include buckets and pitchers of beer ($10 and $6 respectively). An electronic juke box plays any song you can dream up, and the outdoor patio area is a great place to drink some brew and throw some bags.
Oliver's also rents out the patio and sections of the inside for private parties. (Note: Oliver's excludes no one; I once saw a first communion celebration here!)
If you're a late eater, you'll be glad to know that the kitchen here closes at midnight. There's no combination like watching the game, munching on pub grub and nursing a martini into the wee hours—especially on a weeknight.
Average cost: $10-$20
