Tilli's may be the premier spot for Lincoln Park trixies and their male counterparts, and whether you think that's good or bad is a personal preference. Few patrons eclipse the age of 30, and the ones that do have probably had enough plastic surgery to easily lie about their years.
While the patrons all look fairly similar, the items on Tilli's menu have little in common with each other. There are a few sandwiches, a few noodle dishes and a handful of salads and entrees that draw from cuisines such as Thai, French, Cajun and Japanese. St. John's skirt steak is a hearty combination of flavorful Caribbean island spices and juicy mango salsa, and the Asian chopped salad is a terrific vegetarian option chock full of greens and tossed in a sweet and sour ginger dressing. Sandwiches and salads ring in at about $8, while pasta or meat will cost you $11-$16.
Tilli's drink list includes a large selection of cocktails and "tillitinis," as well as beers ranging from college favorites like Miller Light and Bud to the more mature Blue Moon and Guinness. The French martini, with Stoli Razberi, chambord and a splash of pineapple juice, is very popular, with it (as well as the rest of Tilli's cocktails) being quite a bit more alcoholic than its fruity ingredients imply. With the purchase of two entrees, bottles of wine are also half off on Sunday through Wednesday nights.
