Eric Behrenfeld

Blues drummer & percussionist known as Baron.

Baron has also drummed for: Sammy Fender, John Primer, Zora Young, James Wheeler and Liz Mandville Greeson. Performance highlights include appearances at the two largest blues festivals in North America: the Chicago Blues Fest with Sammy Fender and the Ottawa Blues Fest in Canada with John Primer. He also has a solo percussion and ukulele project called the Tiki Cowboys, for which he recently released an EP.

As a continually working drummer in the Chicago blues scene, Baron also is the owner of Slug Percussion Products, a drumkit accessory company he started in 1995.

Besides working with local bands, he's also giving private drum lessons.

Eric "Baron" Behrenfeld has started a new Exotic-Country-Blues band, the TIKI COWBOYS. (www.tikicowboys.com) Baron is playing percussion and ukulele, working with Brian Read on guitar and Warren Lathan on bass. The band's musical influences range from the classic country of Hank Williams, to Hawaiian standards by Don Ho, and Chicago Blues legends like Howlin' Wolf. A new self produced Tiki Cowboys EP-CD of all original music is now out called "A Taste Of Tiki".
