| This new three-piece from Chicago formed in late 1996 features energentic ex-Smoothies member Jenn Solheim on bass and vocals; ex-Mister Furley drummer Eric Mahle; and guitarist James Gillespie (a recording engineer in Chicago, ex-Gloryhounds). They produce a loud, guitar-driven garage punk/alternative grind. Prepare yourself for an ear-shaking experience, complete with flying rifts vocals. Signed to Dyslexic Records (Naked Raygun, Sidekick Kato, Apocalypse Hoboken), Mimim play venues such as the Metro and Empty Bottle. Chicago Reader critic Monica Kendrick says it hasn't "contributed any new tricks to the simulated-vertigo crunch-rock bag, but it certainly doesn't do the tradition any damage either."
