The next time someone asks you how to get to Climax, you ought to think twice before answering; the question might not be as suggestive as you think. More than likely, the person will be talking about Climax Lounge, an elegant spot from the folks behind Moda (it's just a few blocks off the Chicago stop on the Brown Line, in case anyone wants to know).

This is a lounge that wants you to feel good, though; why else would it have three bars? You'll likely want to bypass the first two marble-topped ones for the third, an extravagant structure topped by a 700-year-old dried African Bubinga tree and flanked by two huge lights from an old mansion. The 6,250 square-foot space houses four rooms, each one bursting with throwback touches like 18th-century columns from a church in England and an ornate crystal chandelier. DJs spin from a room planted to the side as images of barely dressed women (accompanied by a few men) decorate the walls.

Of course, not everyone is Climax-worthy; it could be a little difficult to get in if you don't know anyone. Bring plenty of cash, for the varying cover and for table service, a must if you want to get noticed. Also, make sure you stay up to date with the latest trends, because otherwise, you'll get lost in the fashionable crowds. Expect gentlemen dressed in half-unbuttoned collared shirts and ladies in four-inch stilettos and mini dresses.
