If you like dancing, drinking and generally being personally responsible for the de-evolution of your own brain cells, make the Liar's Club your domain. This is a bar for punk rockers, much like Sheena, and the music definitely leans towards the alternative, glam and other underground music (though what you hear certainly depends on which night you go and what DJ is there). Beer is cheap, and nightly specials make your eyes go "ooh," your wallet go, "wow" and you liver go "sweet lord, not again."
The outside façade leaves much to be desired, as it doesn't do much to distinguish Liar's Club from similarly themed bars. But, as we all know, true beauty lies on the inside, and the KISS pinball machine is proof positive. Feel free to explore Liar's Club's two floors; the first has the dance floor and disco ball and bar on it, and the second (open on weekends) houses the pool tables and couches to provide a more easy-going adventure. There is a $5 cover charge on the weekend, and Liar's Club isn't particularly easy to get to via the L. But if you do go on either Friday or Saturday (the nights to go), you'll have a good time. No lie.
