2009 Blues Blast Music Awards

As part of its second run at an annual award show, the team behind the Blues Blast e-zine shortlists recognizes talent both local and national, in categories ranging from Rising Star (nominees include Eden Brent and Cedric Burnside & Lightnin' Malcom) to Best Traditional Blues Recording (B.B. King and John Primer are among those with nods). In addition to the ceremonies, guests will be treated to tons of tunes from nominated artists. (Gavin Paul)
