Since signing with the All Natural label in 20002, Rita J has become a local favorite with her conscious rhymes and effortless flow. For the past few years she's been splitting time between Atlanta and Chicago, and all the inspirations she's accumulated along the way have gone toward her much anticipated solo debut, Artist Workshop. The album has a solid line-up of guest appearances, including ones by Cap D, Adad, Steph Staa, Rashid Hadee and Guilty Simpson and Black Spade, both of whom will be sharing the stage with Rita at the darkroom. This is a big step forward for her in terms of establishing her name, and it's proof once again that Chicago is home to some of the most progressive female MCs in hip-hop. It's hard to say who will be opening because it's likely Rita, Guilty and Spade will be sharing multiple sets, but it’ll be worth it either way to get there early for openers Radius, Scott Free, Tone B.
