Voted Milwaukee's best blues band by the Wisconsin Area Music Industry more times than one hand can count, the Reverend brooded over some awe he found stomping around the Kinetic Playground in the mid-1970s when soulful axe-slingers like Freddy King lit up the marquee, spending a good decade in the Navy without the blues. When back and settled, he didn't waste time aligning himself with harpist Madison Slim and a crew of Chain Smoking back-up singers to jam his own breed of chug-a-lug funk and blues. (Gavin Paul)
