Date: July 3-7, 2008
Cost: Single events from $25; passes from $120
What to expect: Tango musicians, dancers and fans from around the world coming together for the largest Tango festival in the Midwest, which sets up shop for the week at the Double Tree Hotel and the adjacent North Shore Center for the Performing Arts.
Why to go: The piping hot Tanguisimo orchestra, world-renowned DJs and dance masters all together in one place. In addition to watching people tango, you'll get to strap on your perty shoes and learn some moves yourself at one of the many workshops throughout the week. Don't have a dance partner? They'll find you one.
