What to expect: This ARTropolis event showcases modern and contemporary art with several exhibits: Partisan, New Insight, The Hairy Who and Imagist Legacy in Contemporary Art and Salute to Realism. There is also a discussion series, Art Chicago Speaks.
Additional info: The preview is from 6-9 p.m. on April 30; tickets cost $40. For an extra-special sneak peek, head to the First Focus benefit for the Museum of Contemporary Art (noon-3 p.m. April 30), which will run you $150 but include food, drink and a chance to mingle with artists.
