What to expect: Free dance performances at both the Harris Theater and the Pritzker Pavilion at Millennium Park featuring some of the top dance companies from Chicago and around the country.

Why to go: The closing "Celebration of American Dance" (7:30 p.m. Saturday, August 22 at the Pritzker Pavilion) features a wide range of companies, including Chicago Human Rhythm Project, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Step Afrika!, Houston Ballet, Lar Lubovitch Dance Comapny and more. We're also curious about Twyla Tharp's interactive "The One Hundreds: 1-50" (Saturday beginning at 12:30 p.m.).
