Organizer: Evanston Festival Theatre, Inc.
What to expect: Crafts, food vendors, live music and a Native American theme.
Why to go: The energy. This is not just any old street fair, but rather a celebration of art and music that enlivens the streets of Evanston. There's a reason it's award-winning.
Additional info: The festival boasts 350 artists, 150 local businesses and over 30 food vendors. Two stages feature music throughout both days with an emphasis on jazz, and there's also a theater stage. There's plenty of attractions for families, with street performers, theater shows and even the occasional animal appearance.
