Date: June 15, 2008
Cost:
Organizer: Jewish Production Organization for Cultural Events and Theater
What to expect: Seven hours of continuous entertainment on four stages, plus an art fair, Kosher food fair and information booths from local organizations.
Why to go: Funny folk musician Dan Bern headlines.
Additional info: All of the revenues from the festival go directly back to producing the event. It's one of the largest and longest-running Jewish festivals in the country and works to create a positive feeling about Jewish life, especially for children. Maybe that's why there's a Family Stage, a Hands-On Children's Activity area, a petting zoo, clowns and various Judaic projects to take home.
Centerstage Reviewer: Ben Rubenstein
