What to expect: The largest two-day street fair in the Midwest, with 17 entrance gates and three music stages featuring more than 30 local and national acts. Know this: it's a very lively crowd.
Why to go: To live in the past. Musical headliners include En Vogue, Jody Watley and the Village People. Also, to rummage through the goods of around 400 food, arts and crafts vendors filling six city blocks.
