If your momma didn't raise a fool, Landmark Century Cinema could be a great place for you to catch a flick. Don't expect to see the latest slap stick comedy here; it predominately shows independent, foreign and intelligent mainstream films. The theater, tucked into the third, fourth and fifth floors of the Century Shopping Centre, features stadium seating and seven screens. Unlike other theaters, Landmark almost never shows the same film on multiple screens, allowing it to typically screen seven or eight films at a time.
Landmark strives to provide a movie-going experience a step above par by keeping up with the latest technology advancements. To keep with that tradition, it's introducing new digital projection that will provide an even clearer picture. In addition to the usual movie theater popcorn, gourmet goodies like Tim Tams, an Australian snack, will keep you munching through the movie.
Really into the film you just saw? Landmark carries plenty of related merchandise, like earlier DVDs, books and soundtracks. Landmark also draws large crowds when it plays host to the Chicago International Film Festival, the Reeling Lesbian and Gay Film Festival, the Midwest Independent Film Festival and the Latino Film Festival.
