A favorite of corporate jet-setters, Hotel 71 boasts a contemporary look and a casual approach. The staff prides itself on easygoing service and hotel's amenities. Spacious guest rooms, which start at 500 square-feet, suit working and lounging with a large desk, ergonomic leather desk chair and either a leopard-print chaise or oversized chairs. Every room also features free wi-fi and an MP3 player for your customized tunes.
Services include a 24-hour fitness center, complimentary morning paper, room service between 6:30 a.m.-11 p.m. and same-day laundry service. Rooms run about $159-$450 per night, depending on the day of the week and time of year.
Hotel 71 is currently in transition, though, so look for an upgraded style and new name sometime soon. The new spot will feature a two-level spa and an organic American contemporary restaurant, among other treats. Fifteen floors of the new rooms are currently open to guests. Book one of these beauties, and you'll find a flat-screen TV, microwave and even a TV in the loo.
