Baker Brownell
 
1887 - 1965

Baker Brownell was born in St. Charles, Ill., in 1887. He attended Northwestern University, earning his A.B. in 1910. After 12 years in Chicago as a reporter and editor for the Chicago Tribune and the Chicago Daily News, he switched to teaching, first at the University of Idaho and then at his alma mater.
