Although it's in a strip mall, the size and scope of Bourbon Street may surprise you. Truly, it's enormous, and there's ample parking, so bring plenty of friends. The place offers a restaurant area with an extensive menu, a fully stocked bar, sports on TV and plenty to do with your hands, like playing darts. In summer, Bourbon Street offers a beer garden to drink outside. In the winter, part of the beer garden is enclosed, and still available.
But besides all that, Bourbon Street has lots and lots of dancing, with a nominal $5 cover on Friday and Saturday. Bands rock out on Thursday through Saturday. No matter what day you stop in, Bourbon Street has a sweet drink special (Thursdays is $1.50 domestic bottles and $2.50 long islands).
This bar is popular with the South Side after-work crowd, who can grab dinner, drinks and then move on to the pool table or dance club area after the five o'clock whistle blows.
Average cost: $10-$20
