This former Wicker Park sports lounge has had quite the makeover, thanks to guitarist Greg Pasenko and his wife, violinist Diane Delin, who have recently taken over the North Avenue space.
The married musicians used the name of their Chicago-based record label, Blujazz, as inspiration to showcase both local and international artists. And they shouldn't have any issues finding worldly talent, as the couple also owns part of a Parisian-based label/management company dealing with French and other European artists. Of course, Pasenko and Delin will also have their own scheduled nights to perform.
Sets begin at 7:30 p.m. and 9:15 p.m. seven nights a week. Ten bucks gets you in on weekdays, while the weekends give way to a steeper price tag at $20-$30. Stick around long enough and you'll score a free two-hour late-night set at 11:30 p.m.
The drink menu is comprised of jazz club favorites (read: wine, whiskey and bottled brews) in addition to a few flatbread pizzas.
Average cost: $10-$20
