| Evanston resident joined the Chicago Symphony in 1987, joined the first violin section in 1989, and served as associate concertmaster of the Atlanta Symphony during the fall, 1992. Born in Rochester, NY, Dalton began playing violin at 5, and made her solo debut (with the Utah Symphony) at the age of 12. After leaving high school to study at Philidelphia's Curtis Institute of Music, she performed with the Austrian Radio Orchestra (Vienna) for 2 years, and the New Jersey Symphony, toured South America with the New York Philharmonic, and performed with the Philadelphia Orchestra. She was also a member of the Klaring Quartet and Kontrapunktus. She received a masters degree from the Manhattan School of Music.
