Releases/Features "3rd Weapon" Released November 2005 DJ 3rd Rail's SUBWAY HIP HOP VOL 41 "MAKING DJ'S QUIT" Mix Tape

Former college students who met in 1992 at Columbia College in Chicago formed BeatMonstas in 2003. Emcees Noble Dru, Nipples Tha Pimp, Diamond Back and Phashara struggled for years trying to record and get good beats to rap over. Years before they formed Beatmonstas, Noble Dru and Nipples Tha Pimp had a rap group called Mental Bullies that went nowhere because of lack of support from their production company they were signed to called USBF2. Phashara had some success with his group called Sac Fly but his former rap partner bailed before they could seal a deal for a major recording contract. Diamond Back’s career was taking off but personal events in his life stopped him from achieving his goals until now.

After being frustrated with mediocre beats and empty promises from producers and even the music industry, Noble Dru and Phashara decided to buy the Akai MPC 2000XL and their own recording equipment intentionally for solo careers. Noble Dru convinced Diamond Back to rhyme again and Nipples Tha Pimp came up with the name BeatMonstas. Nipples said, “We monstas with beats and rhymes”. Phashara later joined and added major heat to the pot. Now these guys had all the tools at their disposal to make dope beats to spit over. These emcees have an aggressive rap flow that is missing in today’s hip-hop environment. They bring that raw essence back that hip-hop heads loved from the early to mid 90’s.
