| Saxophonist (tenor, soprano) co-leads a group with pianist Bob Long. The usual band members are Ken Haebich (bass) and Mark Ott (drums), though some other talented folks -- like bassist Larry Kohut and drummer Ernie Adams sometimes fill in. The Brian Gephart Bob Long Quartet's most recent recording, the CD, Water Logic on the BluJazz label was selected by Lloyd Sachs of the Chicago Sun Times as one of the Top 10 Jazz Albums by Chicago Artists when it came out. An earlier recording, There Are Ways was released on cassette. Brian also plays with the Chicago Jump Company and the Dave Gordon Group. Look for Brian's new trio to start playing out soon.
