Cellar

Year established: 1995 Hometown: Chicago, Illinois Style: Rock/Power Popular Members: Gus Capone, Carl Fritz, John Biehl, Matt DeStefano Instrumentation: Guitar, Bass, Drums, Vocals

Cellar is committed to writing and performing their original and cover songs with feeling and character. Never lacking in power and stage aura, and will always dispense an exemplary presentation.

Cellar controls their musical careers in a business like manner. From writing, rehearsing and recording to booking appearances and performing. Cellars’ musical influences and styles are very diverse, ranging from rock and heavy metal, to jazz, classical, ska and emo. All of these different styles and her own unique personalities prove to be a winning combination. If one were made to put a description on their sound, it would have to be Rock or Power Popular. When you listen to Cellars’ music, each song sounds fresh and original, but also familiar.

The four members of Cellar, Gus Capone, Carl Fritz, John Biehl, and Matt DeStefano are seasoned musicians and performers. Gus Capone: lead guitarist, has been playing since the age of ten and has been with the band since its inception in 1995. Carl Fritz: bassist, vocalist, and a founding member of Cellar, has been playing guitar, bass, and singing for over twenty years. John Biehl: drummer, vocalist. John joined the band in January 2001 and changed the band forever. Matt DeStefano: rhythm guitarist, vocalist. Matt joined Cellar in early February 2003 and has brought a fresh, new vibe to Cellar. Together they have over forty years of musical experience. What’s more, it shows.

As of 2004, Cellar is no longer together.
