| Member of the seminal (if goofy) country/rock/folk/art music combo Lambchop, Varagona has pulled up sticks and landed here in Chicago. She has recently released her debut recording Tangled Messages on Milwaukee's Star Star Stereo Records. A delightful, cleanly-produced effort, it very neatly showcases Varagona's powerful vocals; she ranges from eloquent folk laments to soaring torch-singer inspiration. She also has a track with Chris Mills (with whom she tours and records) on the latest Bloodshot records compilation.
