| Local trio released their sample-happy second disc, F is For... (produced by Red Red Meat's Brian Deck) on Scratchie Records in September, to a good bit of critical acclaim. The bands self-titled debut was released last year on Bent Records. Says the Reader's Peter Margasak about the new album, "If these guys had released their second album six years ago... well they would have been Pavement." The Reader's Monica Kendrick calls it "pleasant art pop with neither the delirious highs nor the abrasive surprises of those truly inventive bands." Their sound also shows more than a hint of the underground rock of ten years ago. Band members include singer/songwriter/guitarist Brian Burkhard, bassist Andy Grzenia (who reported worked in a motorcycle shop with Scratchie founder D'Arcy in the pre-Smashing Pumpkin days), and drummer Tom Shover (previously Brown Betty).
