| Jeremiah Seraphine believes the underground to be the sacred place were art and life intersect without the trappings of commercialism. It is where new ideas are born and chances are taken. This is the context in which Jeremiah, the artist can be understood. He has been heavily involved in Chicago's underground house music scene since moving back to Chicago from Florida in 1996. He wrote for the now defunct culture magazine Synergy while organizing loft parties in the Fulton Market district of Chicago. As the years went on, Jeremiah gained a solid following of people looking for something different than what Chicago's club scene had to offer. In 1999, he founded 3° Global with four others including DJ Monna and Julius the Mad Thinker. Through 3°, Jeremiah had the opportunity to create on a daily basis. Over the next four and a half years Jeremiah matured musically as a resident DJ of 3° Global. In 2004, Jeremiah made the decision to take a break from 3° so he could focus on launching his label phase3music. Currently Jeremiah organizes private underground loft parties, is preparing for his label launch in November 2004, and works on underground tracks in his home studio.
