| Who is Joe Public ? What kind of music? We are asked that quite a bit.....Rock, Blues & Jazz fused with Latin Grooves. With seven instruments , two powerful vocalists, and a variety of musical styles, from Rock and Blues to Latin and Jazz. We're a musical mutt with far ranging influences, from AC/DC, Pink Floyd, Santana and Albert King to Bob Marley and Spyro Gyra, you get the idea. On the heels of our placing 3rd, at the Illinois State Fair, Battle of the Bands, 2004. The core of “County Project “ decided to go in a different musical direction. We brought the percussive and danceable elements to the forefront, while still being true to each of our personal musical styles. We spent most of 2005 recruiting personnel and completing a demo. We have the VEGA brothers, HECTOR on Timbales, and ANGELO on congas ; giving us a distinct Caribbean flavor. ART HEPPNER on bass has an aggressive three piece style that keeps the bottom end jumpin'. Our newest member and keyboardist, TERRY LEARY, has played in the Lake County area for about 30 years and has many musical influences.While MANNY TAPIA on drums, with his classic rock perspective , keeps everything running on time. Rounding out our lineup are LUIS ALLENDE, on Blues/Fusion guitar and Rick Hunt laying down our smooth Jazz Horns, with a combination of acoustic instruments.Vocals are currently being handled by our dynamic duo, PAUL VESELACK and RABECKA HAYDEN.
