Lil' Ed & the Blues Imperials

Ed picked up much of what he knows about the slide guitar from one of its true legends, his uncle J.B. Hutto. Though Ed started out playing the drums, he switched eventually to the guitar (his brother, who took up the bass, plays it in the Imperials). It's not traditional Chicago blues, but if you like a cross between blues and boogie, this guitar madman could be your guy...

He plays all throughout the U.S., but while in Chicago you can find him at Rosa's Lounge or B.L.U.E.S. His most recent album release is entitled "Rattleshake" (2006) on Alligator Records. Past albums include "Heads Up!" (2002), "Get Wild!" (1999), "...What You See Is What You Get"(1992), among others.
