| Emerging from an eclectic set of musical influences including Kiss, Cheap Trick, the Beach Boys, Robyn Hitchcock and Matthew Sweet, it's easy to be impressed with how tight the medlodies flow on Mark Watson's powerful rock album, Riding the Big Grey Beast. Having been on the Chicago scene now for over 10 years, including gigs at the Riviera and Metro with his teenage band Pursuit, Watson now plays solo acoustic shows as well as with his band all over town.
