| Matt Lenny and Dylan Rice's unique brand of pop combines passion and intelligence with a flair for memorable hooks. Set on top of tight grooves and refreshing guitar work, singer Dylan Rice's powerful, seductive voice is a soulful expression of well-concieved lyrics. As a duo and at the front of the band The Honey Set, Matt and Dylan have performed at local venues such as Uncommon Ground, The Morseland Music Room, Magoo's Underground Lounge, and The Heartland Cafe, as well as many appearances at Northwestern University. The two met as roommates at Northwestern and soon discovered a musical chemistry that surprised them both. As they continue to work on their carefully crafted musical styles, the incorporation of more and more styles serves to expand the potential for their sound. Much of their instrumentation breathes a fusion of 60's psychedlic guitar and inventive 90's acoustic pop. Jazz and blues also are finding an increasing space in the duo's evolution.
