| You'd think -- with a name like Mississippi Heat -- that this would be Delta blues group. Instead, since being formed in the early '90s, the group has been based in Chicago, and the leader (harpist Pierre Lacocque) came to the Windy City from Belgium in 1969! Still, it's post-war Chicago-style music... They often have as many as two vocalists, including Katherine Davis and the occasional appearance by Zora Young. Barrelhouse Chuck is the pianist, in the style of Otis Spann & Little Brother Montgomery. For more information, visit their website: http://www.mississippiheat.net
