| Evolving out of the ashes of Madison comedy rock weirdos My Cousin Kenny, Nectarine combined their influences of 60s rock with the electric guitar-based compositions of New Yorkers like Rhys Chatham and Robert Poss (from the Band of Susans). Their first album, Sterling Beat was released on Grass, and they followed its release with heavy touring. Their second (and still unreleased) full-length pays tribute to one of their biggest influences in the form of a song-for-song response to the Velvet Underground's White Light White Heat.
