 This jazzy, soulful singer, songwriter and guitarist had two critically acclaimed releases on Island Records (Nicholas Tremulis and More Than the Truth) before the label let him go. He still plays a number of near-loop Chicago bars on a regular basis, and has a side project, Blind Lemon Chicken, which plays blues covers from the '20s and '30s. His Nicholas Tremulis Band recently released a new band In Search of Woodfoot (QRS). A new album, Woodfoot is scheduled to be released on QRS Records (which is distributed by Rykodisc) next year. Rick Danko (The Band) appears on this disc. His 14-song recording, Bloody Show (Black Vinyl Records), features remastered versions of Tremulis' work with beat poet Gregory Corso.
