| Good Chicago producers seem to be an underrated commodity in hip-hop, which might explain why a talented guy like Reanimator has gone unnoticed for so long. His metal-inspired production style has pushed the boundaries the genre, and many MCs have thus passed on the abstract architect's beats. Unfazed by his lack of success in the Windy City Reanimator linked up with Rhode Island native Sage Francis to collaborate on the classic albums Personal Journals, A Healthy Distrust and Human the Death Dance, efforts which have launched the producer into cult stardom, making him one of the most interesting voices in hip-hop today. Recently Reanimator collaborated with another Rhode Island native, Prolyphic, to produce the critically acclaimed The Ugly Truth. The duo is the first hip-hop act ever to be signed to Strange Famous Records. Still, Reanimator is unknown to many as he continue to expose his art form to varied underground sub-cultures.
