Scottish McMillan is a Chicago-born songwriter who sings from his toes up, and plays guitar like he's trying to teach it a lesson.
Slamming all of his influences in a blender, and hitting puree, Scottish finds his voice in every imaginable style. But for example, if Les Claypool (Frog Brigade, Oysterhead, Primus), Chris Cornell (Audioslave, Soundgarden), and Keller Williams (solo, Leftover Salmon, String Cheese Incident, etc.) all got together to jam, they'd sound like Scottish McMillan. Wait - hit the distortion pedal. OK, like that.
Scottish is not too concerned with being considered an "original" artist (though his shows feature almost NO cover songs). He is just an avid enthusiast, hoping that his work will inspire others in the way that he was inspired.
