| Steve Justman is a folk, country, and bluegrass artist who has been performing in the Chicago area in one form or another for many years. He started out in a folk group in the 1960s playing at folk venues and hoots like No Exit, It's Here, and the monthly folk hoot at the Mills House in Oak Park. In the '70s and '80s, he was a founding member and bass player in the popular Chicago area country rock band Pony Express which could be found playing at places like The Iron Rail, Clearwater Saloon, and Deadwood Dave's. He has played with other folk and bluegrass groups.
Known by many musicians in the area for his guitar, banjo, bass, and vocal ability, Steve has been performing solo now for the last number of years at area coffeehouses, cafes, concerts at public libraries, etc. Some say he has found the perfect blend of vintage folk and classic country, and he is always known to work hard to entertain his audience.
