| Brit-style all-boy punk rock threesome (singer/drummer Jason Batchko, bassist Tom Szidon (Ultra Swiss), and guitarist Douglas Jarard) is the alter ego of The Joy Poppers (same members). Their first album, "Things Are Getting Weird Tonite", was produced by Jonny Polonsky, and distributed by First Flight records.
Asked about the name, Batchko says "it seems to suit the music... I guess." The band performs on the soundtrack of Greg Pritikin and Gary Rosen's Totally Confused, a film which was recently chosen to represent the US at the Berlin film festival.
Jason Batchko is also the drummer for the Chicago band, Caviar, and has toured with April March.
