| The Kentucky Hilltoppers play hard-driving, traditional Bluegrass music. The four-piece was founded in Chicago in 2003 to revive the legacy of the original Hilltoppers, a Bluegrass band that played around the Southeast in the early 1950s. Tim Mollette-Parks (guitar, mandolin, vocals) is the great nephew of one of the original Hilltoppers. The current-day lineup includes Mike Kearns on mandolin, guitar, vocals; Geoff Wood on bass and vocals; and Steve Warton on banjo. The quartet have played at Chicago venues including Hotti Biscotti, the Abbey Pub, the Montrose Saloon and on WLUW 88.7 FM.
