| Founder/conductor of chamber choir Cantabile, Victoria Burrell-Hrencecin began studying the piano at 4 and the flute at 8. At 14, she won a shcolarship to the Royal Academy of Music, London, where she studied piano, flute, theory, keyboard harmony, and composition. She graduated from Cambridge Uiversity in 1994 with a BA Hons. in English Literature. In addition to studies, she met her future husband at Cambridge, who she eventually joined in Chicago, becoming a Windy City resident in 1996. In addition to Cantabile, she's the director of the Rush Hospital Choir. She's also been able to develop her compositional side, with Cantabile performing a number of world premieres.
